Arguably the most popular spot in Joshua Tree is Pappy & Harriet’s in Pioneertown. Order a beer, rack of ribs, and drink until the live music starts.

Pioneertown is a real life West World. Pappy & Harriet’s front door alone is worth the trip. They are famous for their slow roasted mesquite barbecue, homemade chili and the surprising caliber of musicians looking for a place to disconnect and hang out with fans.

Cowboy boots, Hells Angles and LA bachelor parties come together for a true mixing pot of locals and the Airbnb crowd.

Feeling like you’re traveling back in time was exactly what made the high desert famous, so saddle up and enjoy the dark wood paneling, strong drinks and order yourself a cowboy plater.

Be sure to purchase tickets for the more popular bands. You can peruse their Event Calendar Here. Giddy up and pass me a jalapeño mezcal margarita because as packed as it always is, just know you’re going to be here a while.
