One of the most beautiful hikes in Joshua Tree National Park. Get up early to catch the sun rising over the Cholla Cactus Gardens. Gettin up early also means beating the long late morning park lines. This .25 mile loop is beginner friendly and completely different botanically and geologically then other parts of the park. It’s just off Pinto Basin Road. Stick to the paths at Chollas will jump off the plant to poke you if you get close enough.
